UPDATE: I finally managed to convert this to SWF. Go here instead, the file is significantly smaller.
Unfortunately dA doesn't allow you to replace a file with another of a different type, otherwise I'd put the SWF here.

My magnum opus! I think this is probably the most visually beautiful thing I've ever uploaded to dA.

For the full effect, cross your eyes so the two asterisks align. The 3D effect isn't very strong, but for me it really enhances the sequence.

Thanks to for giving me the idea to add the asterisks.

Rendered and post-processed using Python code, then assembled in GIMP.
